Day 2 : FLEURVILLE - PARAY-LE-MONIAL (106 on 263 km)
You will pursue this itinerary through forests and hilly countryside in Mâconnais, on a road punctuated with views.
Gradually you will reach the heart of Mâconnais vineyard : Pouilly, Fuissé, Chasselas, as many villages which have given their names to famous vintages.
Then you will approach Solutré and its famous rock, such a bow of a ship which stands out against the sky.
After Solutré, you will drive again at the heart of the vineyard before reaching the village of Vergisson.
Before entering Cluny you will cross the horizons evocative of Alphonse de Lamartine then you will reach the castle of Berzé which protected the southern access of Cluny amidst the hills covered with vineyards.
The visit of Cluny abbey a masterpiece of Roman art or rather of Cluny art Clunisian remains a great moment of emotion and discovery for the visitor.
Your day will be ended at Paray-le Monial, at the outermost bounds of Charolais and Brionnais.
There you will discover a magnificent example of Clunisian architecture while visiting the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur.
