From the top of its hill the Rapée castle looks like an English manor.

You will leave the Epte valley to climb a hill and discover an open view over « the pays de Bray” and the immense national forest of Lyons.

A bit farther you will cross the river to discover in the Picarde countryside the masterpieces from the builders of churches, castles and cathedrals.

First at Saint-Germer-de-Fly with its XII th century imposing church , then in Beauvais with its unfinished cathedral impresses the visitor by the height of its archways, and at the Renaissance castle of Troissereux.

A Gerberoy, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, the cob façades from the XVIIth and XVIII th centuries are covered with rose bushes. You will find back the bocage of « the pays de Bray » where the tradition of a dairy cheese production is deeply rooted.

In the XIX th century at Gournay-en-Bray was created a specialty famous all over the world which bears a curious name of "Petit Suisse".

Before reaching the spa resort of Forges-les-Eaux, you will make a detour to discover in the vicinity of Dampierre a small XI th century rustic church, its XVI th century wooden porch is particularly remarkable. There, in a verdant setting bathed by the Forges ferruginous waters you will encounter your place of residence in a peaceful setting.
