This third day will introduce typical wine-growing villages.

After Pfaffenheim you will reach Gueberschwihr, a village where each house shelters a cellar where the year harvest matures all of them gathered around its Roman XII th century church tower.

Outside Voegtlinshofen you will admire the Bacchus which symbolizes the wealth of the regional wine culture.

The road rises up to Husseren a small village with half timbered houses, which lay out in terraces at the foot of the three castles in ruins.

Farther, the Pope Léon IX’s city will welcome you. This medieval town grew within concentric circles around the Eguisheim family’s castle. A walk is a must in the side streets lined with old houses fitted with emblazoned gates.

After Wettolsheim you will cross the Hengst Grand Vintage to reach Wintzenheim, then Turckheim.

At the foot of the Grand Cru du Brand, the city of the Turckheim family was the scene of the battle won by Turenne, Because of this victory Alsace became French. Turckheim has maintained its medieval feature with its half-timbered houses, its old roofs, its ramparts and its polychrome tiles which adorn the church tower.

Then you will have a trip in the Munster valley up to the village of Gunsbach where Docteur Schweitzer spent his childhood. A museum honours his memory.

Through the Firstplan pass (721 metres) you will reach the Noble Valley, then the Isembourg castle.

You should need a fourth day to tour Colmar with its half-timbered houses, its "Petite Venise", its squares adorned with fountains and the Unterlinden Museum.
